CAN I HAVE AN EARLY CHECK IN ?
Early check ins are not guaranteed. Please provide us with your ETA prior to arriving and we will endeavour to accommodate you as early as possible but please keep in mind that check in is 3pm.
WHAT HAPPENS IF ARRIVE LATE AT NIGHT ?
No problem! If you have not arrived by the time the office closes, we will call you to let you know of our after hours check in procedure. We will also text your mobile with details.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY ?
Over peak periods we have a no cancellation policy. Upon booking, you will be asked if you would like to purchase travel insurance and provided with a link to do so easily, as a part of our booking service. We highly recommend you take it, in the off chance that your booking may need to be cancelled, as we do not offer refunds of any kind or change of dates. HOW MUCH DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED ?
Generally, a 50% deposit is required if booking further than 30 days in advance. If your booking is within the 30 days, 100% deposit is required. Please see your booking if you have already made one.
DO YOU HAVE A DRY STORE ?
We do not have a dry store at the moment. We do offer dryers (coin operated) and you have heating in your room.
HOW FAR TO THE RESTAURANTS AND SHOPS ?
The Alpine Resort Motel is only a few minutes drive and 16 minutes walk to Nuggets Crossing where the shops, supermarket and restaurants are.
HOW FAR ARE THE SKI RESORTS FROM ALPINE RESORT MOTEL ?
Thredbo and Perisher are about 30-40 minutes drive from us and Charlotte’s Pass is around 45 minutes.
DO I NEED CHAINS ?
From the June long weekend to the October long weekend the law requires you to carry properly fitting snow chains for your tyres whenever you enter the KNP (chains are not required for travel to Skitube and 4WD vehicles are exempt) there are many chain hire outlets located in Cooma, Berridale and Jindabyne. Make sure you know how to fit the chains properly, and always fit chains to the drive wheels of your car. Take care when fitting chains on the roadside and observe all regular road regulations and directions.
- When hiring chains, first know the tyre code and dimensions which are found on the outside of your tyres.
- Pack a waterproof blanket to lie on and keep your gloves accessible
Practice fitting the chains before leaving home or at the hire outlet.
CAN I HAVE EXTRA PEOPLE IN MY ROOM ?
If you would like to add more people to your room, you need to advise reception. If you are found to have more people in your room than you have booked for, you will be charged the going rate at that time. Extra roll away beds and pull out couches are not available.
DO YOU HAVE COTS ?
Yes, please ask reception prior to your check in. Cots are limited and need to be booked and incur a $15 charge per stay.
DO YOU HAVE COOKING FACILITIES IN THE ROOMS ?
Each room has a mini fridge and microwaves are provided in the deluxe and lake view rooms but not in the budget rooms. Our rooms do not have cooking facilities or crockery, etc. We do not allow cooking in the rooms due to fire regulations and that cooking sets off the fire alarms.
DO YOU PROVIDE CROCKERY AND CUTLERY ?
We do not have these in the rooms, however, if you like you can request a crockery pack from reception free of charge. This includes bowls, plates, cutlery and dish liquid with cleaning cloth and tea towel for the amount of people staying in your room. These need to be cleaned by the end of your stay, or you will be charged a $30 cleaning fee.
DO YOU HAVE AIR CONDITIONING ?
No, we do not. We do have heating in your room and block out curtains to keep the cold out.
WHAT IF I HAVE TWO CARS ?
We offer one off street parking space per room. Should you have more than one, you will need to park the second outside the building on the street.
DO I NEED TO SHOW MY CREDIT CARD UPON ARRIVAL ?
Yes, you will need to. If you are travelling with a different credit card, the payment will need to be made with the card you have at your arrival. If you have previously paid with a different card, your money will be returned to that card after payment has been taken on your card you have with you.
SHOULD I BOOK WITH ALPINE RESORT MOTEL ?
The answer is absolutely yes you should!!
